What is Yatai?

Yatai refers to traditional Japanese street food, typically served from mobile food stalls during festivals. These casual dining experiences are where friends gather to eat, drink, and socialize—often while walking around. Seating is usually minimal or nonexistent.

At our Summer Rooftop Party, we recreate this festive street food atmosphere. While some seating will be available, space is limited. Please enjoy your meal and allow others to use the seating once you're finished. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.

Ticketing & Entry

Is my ticket good for both days?
No, tickets are valid for one day only—please select your preferred date when purchasing.

Can I buy tickets at the restaurants?
No, all ticket sales are handled online through TicketSpice.

Can I transfer my ticket to someone else or change the name?
No, ticket sales are final.

Can I switch my ticket to a different day?
No, ticket sales are final.

Can I get a refund?
No, ticket sales are final.

What do I need to bring to check in?
Bring your TicketSpice confirmation email and a valid photo ID. If you purchased multiple tickets, we recommend saving or screenshotting each ticket for faster entry.

Is this event 21+?
Yes. You must be 21 or older to attend. Non-alcoholic drinks and water are also available.

Are pets allowed?
No pets, please. Service animals are welcome in accordance with ADA guidelines.

Food & Beverage

What kind of food will be served?
We are serving our House specialty sushi, hand rolls, popular Japanese street food, including Ramen, Yakitori, Gyoza, Shumai, and BBQ/yakiniku, plus local restaurants' food and much more.

Are there vegetarian or gluten-free options?
Some dishes will be vegetarian and/or gluten-free. The menu will be announced in August 2026!

Is take-out available?
No. Food is intended to be enjoyed onsite as part of the event experience.

What drinks are included?
Your 5 drink coupons are good for Sake, Wine, Beer, Whisky, Cocktails, as well as Mocktails. Soft drinks are complimentary.

Can I get a discount if I don’t drink alcohol?
Unfortunately, no discounts or substitutions are available on drink tickets, as this is a charity fundraiser.

Logistics

Where do I check in?
Check-in is on the 2nd Floor of our restaurant Parking Garage at 1540 S. Pearl St., diagonally across from OTOTO.

Where should I park?
Since there is limited street parking in our neighborhood we highly recommend:

Rideshare (Uber, Lyft, taxi)
Limited Valet parking in front of Sushi Den

What if it rains?
This is a rain or shine event. Dress accordingly, we recommend a sun hat, sunscreen and shades until the sun goes down.

How many guests are expected?
We’re expecting around 1,000 guests per night.

Will there be seating?
Some temporary seating is available, but this is not a sit-down dinner. We encourage guests to enjoy, rotate, and share space.

Are there restrooms?
Yes. Portable restrooms will be located on the ground level of the parking garage.

Is this a charitable event?
Yes, a portion of the proceeds supports World Central Kitchen's earthquake relief in Venezuela, We Don’t Waste, a Denver-based nonprofit focused on food rescue and hunger relief, Wildland Firefighter Foundation, in support of our Colorado and nation's firefighters, and the earthquake relief efforts in Kumamoto.

Who is organizing the event?
The event is hosted by Sushi Den, Izakaya Den, OTOTO, and our newest restaurant, KIZAKI.

Will the restaurants be open during the event?
OTOTO will be closed on Tuesday September 1st and Wednesday September 2nd. Kizaki will be closed on Thursday September 3rd. All of our other restaurants will be open according to their regular hours.

What kind of music can we expect?
Enjoy live music and nostalgic tunes throughout the evening.

Will there be photography?
Yes. A professional photographer, drone operator, and videographer will be onsite. By purchasing a ticket, you grant permission for your image to be used for event marketing purposes.
